Do you have any kind of an explanation for irregular front brake-pad wear?
I had the front pads on my 1998 Chevy Malibu replaced 12,000 miles ago with the best quality NAPA pads. I had them replaced again yesterday.

We have a 1998 Dodge 3.8-liter Caravan with a strange, intermittent problem that has increased in regularity. Countless trips to different mechanics have not solved the issue. Sometimes the vehicle will not start -- no ignition, no turning over, no lights, no nothing. We have it towed to mechanics, but by the time they get to it, it fires right up. We've gone to the extreme of having the engine's main computer chip replaced, yet the problem persists. We've tried jumping, reconnecting the battery, virtually everything we (and the mechanics) can think of, yet no one has solved the dilemma.
